Hospital Director
Join the Humane Rescue Alliance's medical team as its new Hospital Director. You’ll provide a variety of analytical, evaluative, advisory, coordinating, supervisory and technical functions in support of the HRA Medical Center. Responsibilities also encompass public veterinary practice administration, shelter animal medical oversight, training of staff, ensuring adequate and appropriate supplies and equipment, funds and resource management, data automation, staff oversight and scheduling, safety and security, controlled substance compliance and review and planning of past and future performance of the practice.Demonstrated knowledge of medical center procedures including veterinary and shelter medicine as outlined in standard operating procedures.

Knowledge of and ability to apply specialized principles and practices of veterinary practice management in directing daily operation of practice, thereby allowing veterinarians time necessary to carry out their profession. Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in veterinary practice or shelter animal medicine administration, including at least 3 years of supervising and managing staff. HRA is an EOE

The newly merged Washington Humane Society-Washington Animal Rescue League is seeking a proven leader to continue the organization’s innovative life-saving work as our Medical Director, and to grow with the scope of the position in a rapidly expanding organization.

The Medical Director leads the Veterinary program in this dynamic open-admission urban animal welfare and sheltering organization.
