Licensed Veterinary Technicians Needed
VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital is seeking Credentialed Veterinary Technicians who are interested in employment with our General Practice or in our Emergency Department. We are a long-established (1942!), AAHA-accredited, VECCS Level II certified, 20 doctor practice in Alexandria, Virginia.

Veterinary Technician Needed

Must have a least one year of technical veterinary experience which includes but not limited to: Talking to clients on the phone and in the clinic; Gentle restraint of cats (including aggressive ones!); Trimming nails and use of grooming shears.

Cleaning ears; Venipuncture and placing IV catheters; Taking a blood pressure reading; Using veterinary equipment (running bloodwork, using IV pumps, weighing cats, using a glucometer, taking digital radiographs); Drawing up medications and vaccines; Being able to administer subcutaneous fluids.

Prepping and Assistance during surgery; Reading urinalysis and taking dental radiographs a plus but not required!
